Chris is an artist living and working in Norfolk, producing works in a variety of mediums and styles ranging from contemporary and figurative paintings to impressionist landscapes in oils and acrylics.

His recent abstract works have evolved through hours of experimentation and his instinctive habit to explore, develop and improve. He believes that while the freedom that allows him to create whatever he likes brings excitement and energy to his work, it is also important for him to maintain a structure for his creative process.

From an original layout of chaotic colours and shapes, Chris starts to sharpen and highlight areas within the painting - and the surreal fantasy journey begins.

Chris will work on a painting for several weeks, regularly revisiting it with a different viewpoint and new ideas until he feels it is complete. Very rarely is any of his work pre-planned, and from the unknown emerges a truly unique piece of work.

Chris regularly exhibits in and around Norwich and North Norfolk and has sold paintings to buyers in America and Japan. His work has been accepted several times in the annual IEA Open Exhibition and is now a conditional member of the Institute.

"These works invite the viewer to enter a world of semi-tamed chaos and to write their own story".
